Cape100™ is a 100 kilometre point-to-point road ultra marathon from Hermanus to the Stellenbosch Winelands.
Starting before sunrise in Hermanus, the course follows one of South Africa’s most spectacular stretches of coastline, with the mountains of the Cape on one side and the ocean on the other, before continuing towards the Stellenbosch Winelands.
South Africa has a proud history of endurance running. Cape100 brings a new stage to that story — 100 kilometres, point-to-point, on the road. Dedicated entirely to the 100 kilometre distance, there are no shorter races taking place alongside it. From the first runner across the finish line to the final runner inside the cut-off, every athlete takes on the same 100 kilometre journey.
For many, it will be a first attempt at 100 kilometres. For others, it will be about performance, a personal best or unfinished business. The course will be the same. The reasons for being there will not.
