ATHLETE TRANSFERS,
PARKING & BAG DROP.
Plan your journey to the start, arrange your return from the finish and transport your belongings.
Service pricing, departure schedules and booking information will be released soon.
ONE RACE. TWO REGIONS.
Cape100 is a 100 km point-to-point road ultra, starting in Hermanus and finishing at Blaauwklippen Wine Estate in Stellenbosch.
Athletes may travel independently or use the official network of prebooked Athlete Transfers, Long-Stay Parking and Bag Drop services. These services are optional and separate from the standard race entry.
Athletes parking at Curro Hermanus walk directly to the start precinct. No pre-race coach service operates from Curro.
CHOOSE YOUR HUB.
Cape100 is planning four designated Long-Stay Parking facilities, three of which will also serve as official pre-race Athlete Transfer boarding hubs.
VAN DER STEL
Athletes may reserve Long-Stay Parking at Van der Stel Sports Grounds, board an official pre-race Athlete Transfer to Whale Coast Mall and return to the same hub after completing Cape100.
Athletes who do not require parking may also book an Athlete Transfer departing from this hub.
COETZENBURG
A second planned Stellenbosch hub will operate from the Coetzenburg / Stellenbosch University Sports Grounds area.
This facility will provide Long-Stay Parking and official Athlete Transfer services to and from the race. Athletes may book transfers without reserving parking.
SOMERSET WEST
A designated Somerset West hub is planned to serve athletes travelling from Somerset West and surrounding areas.
The facility will offer prebooked Long-Stay Parking, pre-race Athlete Transfer boarding and post-race return services. Location and access information will be released soon.
CURRO HERMANUS
Curro Hermanus is the planned Long-Stay Parking facility in the start region. Athletes parking here will walk approximately 1 km to the Cape100 start precinct.
No pre-race Athlete Transfer will operate from Curro. A dedicated post-race transfer from Blaauwklippen will be available exclusively to athletes with the required Curro parking and return-transfer booking.
There will be no general post-race Athlete Transfer service to Whale Coast Mall or other Hermanus drop-off locations. The Curro return service is reserved for eligible parking customers.
Journey estimates exclude boarding and waiting time and may vary according to traffic conditions. Post-race departure schedules will be released closer to race weekend.
GET THERE. GET BACK.
PRE-RACE
Stellenbosch / Somerset West → Whale Coast Mall, Hermanus
Official pre-race Athlete Transfers will operate using scheduled coaches from the designated boarding hubs.
Coaches are planned to arrive at Whale Coast Mall between 02:45 and 03:30, allowing athletes time to access the available facilities and complete the Cape100 Fan Walk before the 05:00 start.
Athletes must book in advance and report to their selected hub during the published check-in window.
POST-RACE
Blaauwklippen → Selected Return Hub
Optional post-race Athlete Transfers will operate throughout the finish period, with capacity planned around bookings and expected finishing times.
Athletes should allow time for recovery, Bag Collection and other post-race requirements before boarding.
Services will continue after the final race cut-off where required to accommodate booked athletes.
Detailed post-race departure schedules will be released closer to race weekend.
PROVISIONAL PRE-RACE DEPARTURE SCHEDULE
Athlete check-in and coach departure windows by boarding hub.
All times are provisional and may change. Detailed boarding instructions and final schedules will be communicated to booked athletes ahead of race weekend.
PARK ONCE. RUN 100 KM.
Cape100 will offer optional, prebooked Long-Stay Parking at designated facilities in Stellenbosch, Somerset West and Hermanus.
All Long-Stay Parking must be reserved in advance. No unrestricted or unreserved race-day parking.
Parking does not automatically include Athlete Transfers unless offered as a combined package.
Parking access is limited to vehicles with a valid reservation for the selected hub. Capacity is limited.
No general athlete Long-Stay Parking at Blaauwklippen, Whale Coast Mall or within the Hermanus start precinct.
Athletes may book Athlete Transfers without purchasing parking. Spectator parking at Blaauwklippen is managed separately from athlete Long-Stay Parking.
YOUR BAGS. AT THE FINISH.
Every Cape100 athlete receives an official Cape100 Athlete Gear Bag as part of their race entry.
Athletes may bring permitted luggage on their booked pre-race Athlete Transfer without an additional luggage transport charge. However, handing bags over to Cape100 for delivery or storage until collection at the finish requires a separately purchased Bag Drop service.
Two Bag Drop options are available: Standard and Premium.
STANDARD BAG DROP
One official Cape100 Athlete Gear Bag only.
Standard Bag Drop allows an athlete to hand in their official Cape100 Athlete Gear Bag for delivery or storage until collection at Blaauwklippen.
Alternative personal bags, larger bags and additional bags are not accepted under Standard Bag Drop.
PREMIUM BAG DROP
One official Cape100 Athlete Gear Bag plus one additional approved personal bag.
Premium Bag Drop is intended for athletes requiring additional luggage capacity, including an approved larger personal bag or small roller bag.
All bags must comply with the published size and weight requirements.
Only bags covered by an athlete's purchased Bag Drop service will be accepted at the handover facility.
If you arrive with two bags but have booked Standard Bag Drop, you may hand in only your official Cape100 Athlete Gear Bag. The additional bag will not be accepted.
If you wish to hand in an additional or larger approved personal bag, you must book Premium Bag Drop.
No Bag Drop booking means no bags may be handed in.
Whale Coast Mall, Hermanus. This is the only race-morning Bag Drop location. No bags will be accepted after 04:10.
Friday, 3 September and Saturday, 4 September 2027, during athlete registration at Blaauwklippen Wine Estate.
Accepted bags will be available at the designated Bag Collection facility at Blaauwklippen Wine Estate after the race.
There will be no race-morning Bag Drop facilities at the Long-Stay Parking or Athlete Transfer boarding hubs.
